Research
Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are porous and crystalline organic materials with a regular and tunable structure. As a result of their high porosity and tunable chemistry, COFs are of significant interest for applications including energy storage, water treatment, and catalysis. However, there are a number of fundamental challenges in understanding the chemistry, processing, and properties of COFs. My research is focused on understanding nucleation and growth of COFs in solution to engineer high throughput synthesis and processing routes to these open functional frameworks.
